Notice of annual business meeting
The INCPAS annual business meeting will be held in conjunction with the INCPAS Leadership Cabinet and Emerging Leaders Alliance meeting on May 31 at 8 a.m. CDT at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville. The meeting will include a financial report, election of directors and a report from the chairman of the board. A significant item on the agenda will be the proposed amendments to Article X of the INCPAS Bylaws related to disciplinary matters that would align the language with the AICPA Bylaws. Members will vote on these amendments. For a copy of the proposed amendments, and if you plan to attend the annual business meeting and are not on LC/ELA, contact Mary McKinzie at (317) 726-5018 or 1-800-272-2054.

Enrich your career by serving your professional home or community. The Indiana CPA Society is recruiting members and students for a variety of career enrichment experiences. Appointments are made annually, and your choices must be submitted by May 30. You have the ability to choose and rank up to three experiences — every effort will be made to give you your top choice. Appointments will be made in June and terms will begin July 1. 

Various volunteer opportunities may be available throughout the year. Please fill out a member application and express your interest areas.

The Indiana CPA Society has launched series of initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of the need for diversity throughout the profession, along with programs designed to encourage students of diverse backgrounds to consider accounting.

The INCPAS Scholars program is a unique year-long career awareness program for minority high school students with an interest in business and/or accounting. Currently, 20 Indiana students are learning (with the help of their mentors) what it’s like to be a CPA and what it will take to become one!
