Ask the Alumni: Dayon Gill

INCPAS Scholar Alumnus Dayon Gill shares why it’s important to speak up and use his voice.

Q: Your voice matters. How do you plan to use it in the future?

INCPAS Scholar alumnus Dayon GillA: Growing up, using my voice and speaking out was one of my biggest challenges. Over the years I’ve learned that to be successful in your profession, you must have effective communication skills and vocal presence.

Looking towards the future, I plan to use my voice through networking and acting upon what I say, which will set a foundational platform allowing me to grow as a CPA.

INCPAS Scholars is an award-winning, free program that encourages students to consider becoming a CPA. The only program of its kind, INCPAS Scholars introduces students to the profession by pairing them with practicing CPAs, touring CPA firms and businesses that employ CPAs, and participating in events to immerse them in the profession. You can support the program at incpas.org/scholars.
