The Indiana CPA Society extends condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the following INCPAS members who recently passed.

Robert A. (Bob) Bennett passed away on September 2, 2025.

Bob Bennett was born on April 25, 1925, in Shelbyville, Indiana, where he lived most of his life. After serving as a Navigator with the Army Air Corps in World War II and receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross, he attended DePauw University, where he met his wife of 73 years, Patricia. Together they ran Todd-Bennett Clothier for decades, while Bob also gave back through leadership roles with the Shelbyville School Board, SCUFFY, Rotary, Boys Club, Elks Lodge, and as a member of the Indiana CPA Society.

Fred Gage passed away on November 20, 2025.

Fred Gage was born on April 5, 1930, in Wawaka, IN. He graduated from Albion High School in 1948 and International Business College of Fort Wayne in 1950. Fred enlisted with the United States Air Force in 1951 and proudly served his country until 1955.

After his military discharge, Fred graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Business with a degree in Accounting in 1958. He worked for Ernst & Ernst before becoming a founding member of Baden, Gage & Schroeder. Fred took his work as a CPA very seriously; he proudly held his CPA license until his passing. He was a council member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society, serving as Indiana’s president from 1987 to 1988.
