A Historical Role
INCPAS respects the public interest and is the leading advocate for the profession and members related to professional licensing issues, regulatory compliance, ethics and professional issues. This is an area of focus the Society has historically advocated in on behalf of the CPA profession.
The Society maintains a collaborative working relationship with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, the Board of Accountancy and other relevant organizations, operating within the boundaries of ethical and legal standards.
Members and staff collaboratively work with both internal and external stakeholders, to respect the public interest by discussing professional issues, assessing legislative needs, drafting rules and providing guidance on professional issues.
INCPAS monitors the regulatory and disciplinary environment at the state, national and international level. We actively promote consistency in the administration and enforcement of Indiana statutes and rules related to the Accountancy Act and the practice of accountancy for licensed CPA professionals.
