What You Need to Know

CPA License Renewal

It’s a 3rd year reporting cycle—you must renew your license with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) by June 30, 2021. If IPLA has your email on file, they will send you renewal reminders via email. If no email is listed, they will send mail to the physical address on file. To ensure you receive these notifications, make sure your information is up to date in their system.

The messages from IPLA will be sent in late March, early May and mid-June. If you haven’t received anything by April 15, check your email spam/junk folders or have someone check your mail if you aren’t working in the office.

The agency recently notified us they have a new Access Indiana portal for license renewals, so you will need to set up a new account — the old portal will not work for renewal.

Once you receive your renewal notice, you can go to the portal, create your account and submit your renewal. All renewals must be submitted by June 30, 2021.

Contact IPLA to confirm special requirements for A&A and Ethics.

*For purposes of this section, “N/A” means that there is no specifically stated requirement for the year of issuance or reactivation because the licensee would have to obtain the prorated CPE hours for the three (3) year reporting period.
