INDIANAPOLIS —The Indiana CPA Educational Foundation provides financial assistance to students pursuing their accounting major and ultimate entry into the CPA profession. This scholarship program was established in 2021 as part of a strategic initiative to help build the accounting workforce in Indiana by alleviating financial and logistical barriers to sitting for the CPA Exam and obtaining the CPA license.
In addition to renewable college scholarships, the Foundation offers a CPA Exam scholarship to cover out-of-pocket Exam-related costs. This Exam Scholarship is presented in collaboration with ALPFA Indianapolis and the Greater Indianapolis Chapter of NABA Inc.
2025–26 College Scholarship Recipients
Eight aspiring CPAs representing five Indiana universities were selected for this year's Indiana CPA Educational Foundation Scholarship.
This college scholarship provides financial assistance to Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) student members pursuing their accounting degree and entry into the CPA profession. Scholarships are $1,000–$2,000 per year and renewable for up to $5,000 total per recipient, dependent on recipient meeting the renewal criteria.
This year’s new class of scholarship recipients will receive a total of $21,000:
- Max Carmody – Graduate Student, Indiana University
- Adam Hernandez – Freshman, Purdue University
- Kyera North – Junior, University of Evansville
- Ryan Rakaska – Junior, Indiana University Indianapolis
- Guillermo Ruesga Jr. – Sophomore, Marian University
- Riya Singh – Senior, Indiana University Indianapolis
- Ethan Timpe – Senior, Indiana University Indianapolis
- Benjamin von Werder – Junior, Purdue University
In addition, three previous scholarship recipients have met their renewal criteria and are receiving an additional year of funding:
- Jordan Hes – Senior, Indiana University Indianapolis
- Alex Perry – University of Southern Indiana
- Jessica Luna-Tovar –Marian University
