Building the Talent Pipeline with DEI Initiatives

The CPA profession, more so than many others, has been extraordinarily slow in closing the race gap in our ranks (see AICPA Trends Report). The Society has prioritized diversity and inclusion efforts since we added it to our strategic plan in 2007.

If you need help getting started or are looking to turn awareness into action, we encourage you to read the stories and review the resources here.

Indiana CPA Society Statement on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The Indiana CPA Society represents CPA professionals from multiple races, cultures, creeds, ethnicities, genders, identities and ages. As such, the Society denounces all forms of racism, discrimination and intolerance. Diversity, equity and inclusion are part of our core values, and we expect our staff, leaders and members to act inclusively in their everyday interactions.

Our commitment to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in the accounting profession is a key component of our ongoing advocacy efforts on behalf of current and future members.

Pipeline Partners

As a reflection to their commitment to advancing diversity in the CPA profession, our pipeline partners actively engage with INCPAS on strategic activities, including mentorship programs, educational initiatives, career awareness events, and other programs designed to promote diversity, equity and inclusion — of which the INCPAS Scholars program is a cornerstone.
