What keeps you up at night?

Did I remember to answer that person’s email?

What made you decide to become a CPA?

My grandpa, father and brother are all CPAs. I’d have to say it’s either in my blood or I was brainwashed at a very young age. In all seriousness, I love numbers and helping individuals understand very complex information.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the profession?

Counselors at IUPUI suggested it. It was a good route to get to law school.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the profession?

Take the CPA Exam, pass as soon as you can and don’t ever look back!

What’s the best thing you’ve read recently?

“How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.

How do you unwind after a busy day at the office?

Depends on the season. In the summer I’ll sometimes go on my wave runner on Lake Michigan or in the colder months, since I’m a volunteer firefighter, I’ll take the fire truck for a drive along the lake.

What’s your favorite app and why?

Definitely the Pinterest App, because I’m a DIY project addict.

What’s on your desk right now?

A tennis ball, Corporate FYE Tax Return, hand sanitizer, water bottle, banana, “The Beach Is My Happy Place” coffee mug and an old school calculator.
